Introducing Our New Matcha & Hojicha Powder
We’re excited to introduce a few new additions to our range - sourced from an additional two small, family-run tea farms we were lucky to meet during our visit to Japan last September. This has been a work in progress for a while, with conversations continuing over the last few months! Our original matcha is about to be harvested for the 2025 tea season, and we will also be back in stock again very soon.
At Zenergi, we are committed to working directly with producers who share our values and put incredible care into every stage of growing, harvesting, and crafting matcha and tea.
As you may already know, we have always sourced only first harvest matcha, and we continue to work exclusively with smaller scale farms across Japan.
Here’s a little more about what’s new…
Our Limited Release – Single Cultivar Matcha
Our new Single Cultivar Gokou Matcha is a vibrant, full-bodied matcha with deep umami and a velvety finish. Naturally rich in L-theanine, it’s bold yet balanced, featuring notes of roasted almond and a creamy mouthfeel with very low bitterness. This is a limited release from the Uji region, and in future months, will be rotated seasonally so you can explore different cultivars over time all from the same tea farm.
Our Certified Organic Matcha
Our new Certified Organic Matcha is made from the Saemidori cultivar and grown in Kirishima, a region in southern Japan renowned for its rich volcanic soils and clean growing conditions. This matcha is smooth, silky, and ideal for those who enjoy a clean and uplifting finish. This matcha will be part of our core, year-round range and allows you to taste matcha from another tea growing region in Japan.
Hojicha Powder
We’re also excited to launch our Hojicha Powder, made from single-origin sencha leaves and slow-roasted over charcoal. It’s naturally low in caffeine, with rich caramelised notes and roasted hazelnut undertones - perfect for winding down in the evening or as a cozy, low-caffeine alternative to your usual matcha latte. Our hojicha powder is also from one of our tea farm partners in the Uji, region.

Our Matcha Sets also have a fresh new look and are a perfect gift for any matcha lover whether they’re just getting started or deep into their ritual and of course are the perfect way to get set up properly at home for daily whisking.
