Introducing the Zenergi Matcha Travelling Matcha House
After a lot of late nights, big ideas, problem-solving, and more than a few cups of matcha, we’re so excited to finally share something we’ve been working towards for a long time.
On February 14th - yes, Valentine’s Day - the Zenergi Matcha Travelling Matcha House officially launches at the Subiaco Farmers Market.
Rather than opening a fixed café space, we chose to take a different path. We wanted to create a mobile matcha house - something that could move, evolve, and meet people where they already are. A space that lets us bring matcha into new settings across Perth, while staying true to what Zenergi Matcha has always been about.
Not long after launching as an online store in June 2024, we took a leap and brought matcha to the farmers’ market. By August 2024, we were proudly serving matcha at Subiaco Farmers Market - one of the first to really prove that high-quality, first-harvest matcha had a place in this setting (before strawberry matcha was a thing!). What started as a simple idea quickly became something much bigger.
Along the way, we’ve been incredibly lucky to build a community around matcha - meeting people week after week, sharing conversations over cups, and working with brands and creatives we admire and never imagined we’d collaborate with. That sense of connection has shaped everything we’ve built since.
From the beginning, our focus has never changed:
Great quality matcha, served well.
Genuinely nutritious, first harvest Japanese matcha. Pesticide-free, carefully sourced, and prepared with intention.
The Travelling Matcha House is an extension of that original idea. It’s not about trends or novelty - it’s about creating a calm, considered experience around matcha, whether you’re stopping by a market, a pop-up, or an event. A place for traditional matcha, classic lattes, and seasonal offerings that still respect the tea itself.
Getting to this point has taken a huge amount of work - sweat, tears, learning curves, and patience and we couldn’t be more excited to finally roll it out and share it with the community. It felt only right to launch the Travelling Matcha House at Subiaco Farmers Market - the place where we first began serving matcha in person, and where so much of this journey truly started.
This is just the beginning. We can’t wait to bring the Travelling Matcha House to new locations, pop-ups, collaborations, and events across Perth, and to keep building meaningful moments around matcha along the way.
